Chenbro case cooling
The low down
- Good temperatures accross the board now that the server case vents have been sealed to force the air to be drawn through the drive cages.
- CPU temps also good even at low case fan speeds, with the addition of a small Noctua fan taped to the passive heatsink.
- Still need to add dummy drives / blanks into the caddies that are unoccupied to ensure the air is not drawn from there. Will be 3D printing some.
- The only shadow on the picture is nvme temperatures for the nvme slot that’s onto the motherboard
- Therefore, decided to add a heatsink & fan to that, with PWM. Easy as this motherboard has plenty of fan headers and all the case fans are now drawing for the drive backplane since I switched to the Chenbro rackmount chassis.
